Summary

The project’s main purpose is determining the extent of employment and unemployment rates throughout the pandemic, as well as to research how business decisions greatly impacted certain service worker populations in BC, particularly women of colour. Our intended audience will be policymakers and researchers dedicated to addressing unemployment within hospitality and gender inequities that have been exacerbated by the pandemic.
