Our project analyzed condition assessment data from over 200 Green Rainwater Infrastructure sites to understand how community stewardship affects performance. Using R and Tableau, we compared stewarded and non-stewarded sites and found that stewardship consistently improves vegetation health and overall site condition. These insights highlight how community involvement strengthens rainwater management, enhances ecological resilience, and reduces long-term maintenance demands.

NEXT STEPS

Now that the term has ended, our project has been shared with our CityStudio and City of Vancouver partners for their awareness and potential future use. While our analysis is not being formally implemented, it provides clear evidence of how community stewardship contributes to healthier vegetation and stronger overall performance across GRI sites. City staff now have access to our Tableau visualizations, statistical findings, and recommendations, which they may draw on as they continue evaluating stewardship programs, maintenance planning, or future student collaborations.
