What if students could shape the future of Vancouver? At HUBBUB 25, they do.

We’re excited to invite you to HUBBUB 25, CityStudio Vancouver’s interactive student showcase, happening on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at our space on False Creek – 1800 Spyglass Place, right by the Olympic Village Skytrain Station.

This isn’t your average student event. HUBBUB brings together post-secondary students – from BCIT and SFU this time around! – , City of Vancouver staff, faculty, and community to share real-world project ideas that tackle Vancouver’s most pressing urban challenges. These projects are born out of collaboration — and are powered by values of sustainability, equity, joy, and inclusion.

What is HUBBUB?

HUBBUB is CityStudio’s flagship event — a vibrant, interactive showcase where student teams present innovative ideas developed in partnership with the City of Vancouver. These projects span topics from climate action to public space design, youth engagement to housing equity.

Each term, students from our partner institutions work directly with City staff to generate proposals that respond to real civic priorities.

The event is relaxed, participatory, and full of human-powered energy. You’ll find:

• Opportunities to meet City staff and other guests

• And yes — free popcorn and coffee ☕

Note: Our space accommodates 40 people at a time. If it’s full when you arrive, you’re welcome to wait with some popcorn and good company. Walk-ins are elcome.
