Simone Hill

Before joining CityStudio, Simone spent over 15 years leading fundraising, events, and strategic partnership programs across the non-profit, municipal, and experiential sectors. As Director, Membership & Events at the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME), she led one of Vancouver’s largest annual conferences, AME Roundup, which welcomed more than 7,000 attendees each year. She led the development of conference programming, cultivated major partnerships, and was part of the leadership team that grew the conference to record attendance levels. Most recently, she managed complex experiential projects across North America, helping organizations translate ambitious designs into life-size trade show exhibits and retail environments.

Simone was born and raised in Vancouver and is looking forward to supporting the development of programs that address the challenges communities face in Vancouver and beyond. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, with a minor in Commerce, and a Certificate in Business Analysis from UBC Sauder School of Business. Throughout her career, Simone has focused on building relationships, improving systems, and creating practical processes to help organizations grow and succeed.

Simone volunteers with Finish Strong Foundation, where she supports an after-school basketball program for youth. Outside of work, Simone enjoys walks with her tiny dog, dissecting the highs and lows of the Vancouver Canucks, and wandering through bookstores in search of the perfect pen and notebook.
