This week HUBBUB 15 Live opened a week of celebration of collaboration between post-secondary students, faculty and City staff members. We were joined by guest speakers including City of Vancouver’s Mayor Kennedy Stewart and four of our local post-secondary presidents including Santa Ono from UBC, Lane Trotter from Langara College, Kathy Kinloch from BCIT, and Joy Johnson from SFU. Guests also heard inspiring and passionate words from our CityStudio Vancouver Champions Sadhu Johnston, City Manager, and Allison Earl, UBC faculty member.
One of the most iconic parts of HUBBUB are the Student Project Pitches, which are a high-energy round of 15-second pitches delivered by one student from each of the project groups. This was our first pre-recorded session of pitches, and the students truly delivered exceptional work.
HUBBUB 15 is still happening, and we invite you to join in the conversation, engage with students and vote. Follow the links below to virtually attend the online showcase.
Have your say with the People’s Choice Award. See all the projects and cast your ballot for your favorite and most inspiring project. We have shared our Wall of Awesome here to thank all of our faculty and City staff collaborators, as well as our CityStudio Champions from this semester.
Visit our Facebook event where we have shared all the projects with links to their very own permanent project pages. Kindly share a comment or question with the students and share your favorite projects on your own stream!
