Innovators in Canada and Denmark will team up to tackle urban and health challenges
CityStudio Vancouver Society is pleased to announce a new international partnership with Copenhagen Health Innovation (CHI), a Danish platform based in the Capital Region of Denmark that brings together higher-education institutions, healthcare professionals, and industry to advance health innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2025, this partnership establishes a knowledge-sharing and collaboration framework between CityStudio and Copenhagen Health Innovation. Together, we will explore opportunities for applied learning, pilot projects, and cross-cultural exchange focused on urban health, sustainability, and civic innovation.
Shared Values and Purpose
Both CityStudio Vancouver and Copenhagen Health Innovation are grounded in the belief that complex societal challenges are best addressed when students, educators, public institutions, and communities work together.
CityStudio Vancouver connects post-secondary students with municipal governments to co-create innovative solutions to urban challenges, while Copenhagen Health Innovation acts as a bridge between education, healthcare, and practice – each supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world experimentation.
Through this partnership, we aim to:
- Foster dialogue and learning between Canadian and Danish institutions
- Share tools, methods, and insights from applied civic and health innovation
- Explore pilot projects linking urban and health-system challenges in Vancouver and Copenhagen
- Support intercultural learning and knowledge mobilization across sectors
